AVI offers three free collections per year to collect large items that do not belong in the garbage, recycling, or compost carts.

Prepare Your Large Item Pickup
Do not use your garbage, recycling or compost carts for this purpose.
Follow these guidelines to ensure proper bulk waste collection:
- Single-family residential households are eligible to schedule and receive three (3) free on-call Large Item Collection Services per contract year (July 1st - June 30th)
- To schedule a large item collection, call us at least three days in advance.
- Set material at the curb no more than 24 hours in advance.
- Do not block the sidewalk or impede traffic.
- Small items must be boxed or bagged in disposable containers.
- Yard clippings or wood must be bundled, boxed or bagged, and no longer than 4 feet.
- For safety reasons, any glass items must be securely boxed and bundled.

Large Item Guidelines
Each Dublin household receives three free large item collections per year, with a seven cubic yard limit per pickup. To help ensure proper collection, please bag or box smaller items.
Acceptable Items
Please call at least three days in advance to schedule your pickup.
- Brown goods
- Personal Digital Assistants (PDAs)
- Similar electronic equipment
- Stereos
- Telephones
- VCR's
- Carpets
- E-Waste
- Cellphones
- Computers
- Items containing ray tubes (CRTs)
- Monitors
- Similar electronic equipment
- Televisions
- Furniture
- Mattresses
- Tires
- Up to 4 car tires (without rims)
- White goods
- Freezers (doors must be removed)
- Other similar household appliances
- Refrigerators (doors must be removed)
- Water heaters
Limitations And Exclusions
Please be mindful of these exclusions:
- No dirt
- Concrete
- Hazardous materials
- No items over 60 pounds
- Except furniture and appliances
- No more than seven cubic yards of material per pickup
- This is approximately 42 full, 35-gallon bags, or material that would fill a space 9 ft long, 5 ft high and 4 ft wide
